Old Gathering Places -- Volume 2

IOOF Hall, Lookout, Pennsylvania

I googled Lookout and came up with very little.   Lewis G. Hill was a native of Lookout.  He was the Chairman of the Wayne County Democratic Party in 1937. and is presumed deceased as his burial location is unknown (according to The Political Graveyard).

There is an advertisement  for the establishment below, which I missed.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"The Longbranch Saloon"

Route 191        Lookout, PA
(570)-224-4306
(16-miles North of Honesdale)
------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, but my photos of gathering places is limited to Grange and other halls and also to churches.  Saloons were not traditional gathering places in the Methodist/Presbyterian/ Catholic/Baptist world of northeast Pennsylvania because they were male bastions.  Besides, if I stopped to take a photo of every saloon in these small towns, I'd never get home.
