Needless to say, the events of Sunday night were a cause of much celebration at Ground Zero, Times Square, and other places where they could pour out of the bars late at night to continue the party. Having been in Lower Manhattan on that particularly infamous day, I had hoped that he had long been dead -- not living in luxury for the past 6 years in a nice little resort town in Pakistan. They say that revenge is a meal best served cold. This one had too much freezer burn. He deserved his fate.
I have a friend who was at the Pentagon when they hit it. His daughters went to the high school prom on Sunday evening. I hope these events don't overshadow his memories of the prom.
