Journey to the Finger Lakes with a side trip to Niagara Falls

This is really crowded.  I hope this is a short drive.

A view from Inspiration Point, Letchworth State Park.  That's the Genesee River.

Katie having strawberries on the veranda of Glen Iris Inn.
Summer sangria on the veranda.  It was quite refreshing.  Contained white wine, peach schnapps, and tequila --hoo-ah!
The middle falls from the veranda.

The trestle from the veranda.
Having fun!

That bridge was built by the Erie Railroad in 1875 and is still used by Norfolk Southern.

My dearest Katherine!

The old guy.

Aargh!!  Avast ye maties!!

Whereas the falls at Letchworth are soothing, these have a tendencies to roar.

That boy will sleep anywhere.

With Grandma along the Niagara River.

Meltdown.

We were returning from Niagara Falls when we encountered a train 10 miles or so from Letchworth.  Katie said, "We need to get to the park before the train gets there.  We made it.  That bridge is 138 years old.  The pucker factor must be extreme for the train crews.

The only covered bridge in the Finger Lakes area.

NY bug.

Another NY bug.
It was a short, jam-packed vacation.  Got started late, but had a great time.
