We'll need to clear the table prior to serving tea!
The snow started falling late Friday morning, with the National Weather Service calling for 6-12 inches. By noon, it was snowing at the rate of 2 inches per hour and they changed their prediction to 10-12 inches. At about the same time, Katie decided it was time to go to Tobyhanna and do some shopping and she wanted me to accompany her. I finally talked her into staying home with the promise that we would go on Saturday morning.
By the time the snow tapered off late in the afternoon, we were on the high end of the prediction and fired up the snow blower for the first time this year to clear the driveway.
First thing Saturday morning, we were on our way to Tobyhanna via Honesdale (Walmart) as I kept my end of the deal. Obviously, the local governments didn't keep their end of the bargain. The roads were atrocious with very little having been done to clear them over night. Of course, that's no reason to return home when shopping is the objective. I don't think I've ever seen Walmart that empty. I told Katie I had to be home by 11 that morning to watch Mount Union in the Division III championship game. At least I caught the second half.
It snowed again Sunday morning and by the time it stopped, we had received another 6 inches. The photos above were taken early Sunday afternoon.
