It appears to me that there are 3 factions within the Republican party who want to be in control -- and each of them think they are. Once their candidate secures the nomination, they expect the ignorant masses who presently oppose them to fall in line and back their guy. The problem is that the GOP has dropped the word "compromise" from their lexicography. I foresee that, no matter who is nominated, the party will split.
News here about Newt and Rick trying to get the evangical endorsement (what percentage of the electorate would follow that guidance?).
Go here to see how much money they're spending on tv ads when there are so many cut-backs in government services. (There are huge potholes in the PA highways left over from last winter. We contribute a large chunk of tax money that is supposed to be used to maintain the infrastructure. I guess the infrastructure is now defined as the governor's bank account.)
Here's a fun editorial you might want to read.
If you go to the www.thetimes-tribune.com/flatcorbett, you can get a copy of this photo:
This is the governor of PA. This was started by the newspaper and people are sending to the governor and other PA politicians voicing their displeasure (so far, they've gotten nothing from anyone who's pleased -- especially about the fracking). Voice your displeasure!
I still don't understand how we can let the voters from 3 small states dictate who runs for president? I doubt that the people of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina are representative of the people of California, Ohio, New York, or Pennsylvania, the states with large numbers of electoral votes. Voice your displeasure!
